Ginger has babies!

Our mouse, Ginger, had babies. Some of them look like Lulu and Stuart. And one of them is gray with a little bit of orange. And he or she looks really interesting. Ginger had a litter not too long ago and during our Valentaine's Day party on Friday, Ginger had babies--16! I didn't know that mice had such big litters! And on Sunday, our teacher, Mr. Smith, came in and checked on the mice, and all of the babies died in both cages--so sad! But we still have 3 females in one cage and Ginger in the other cage has 3 half-way grown babies. Now we're taking good care of the mice, and Mr. Smith won't have to give any of his mice to Petsmart.

Sonora and Mom have a secret plan.

Sonora and Mom have a secret plan to go to New York without Dad and Merrill. The plan is trick Dad and Merrill. We're not going to tell them that we're going to New York; we're going to tell them that we're going to Chicago. That's sure to fool them.

Sad Stuart

Last Friday, August 14th, before any kids got to class, Lulu, our classroom mouse, started to twitch. Mr. Smith, our teacher, looked at Lulu. And, sadly, a few minutes after she started to twitch she died.

All the students were shocked by the news. Lulu was white with grayish and blackish spots. And the softest mouse I ever felt. Lulu was three--pretty old for a mouse--and sick, so it's not surprising she died.

Stuart, the other class mouse is sad. Stuart is just white with red eyes and almost as soft as Lulu. Today, Monday, he was acting kind of pitiful. He was curled up and kind of pouty looking. One time today, he climbed up on his water drinker and looked kind of pitiful. Really, Stuart was pitiful all day.

We're going to get a new class mouse for Stuart, so maybe he'll feel happy.

A Merrill Story

Here's a funny story by my sister, Merrill.

My dad is sad because he added new things to his computer and it went crazy. He saw a big dot on the screen then dots started flying out of the screen all the way to the living room. Dad's going to have to reboot his computer.

A Story about a Little White Lamb

One day when I was about two or three, I was collecting toys in my bedroom; the stack was passed my head. Then when I was looking on the ground, I picked up this little white lamb and put it on my stack. While I was on my way to the computer room, toys on the stack started falling off, so I picked them up. Once I got to the computer room, I dropped all the toys. Then I started picking up, toy by toy, bringing it back to my bedroom. Then I found my dad, and I told him a little story about my lamb. The end.

Sonora Watch the Movie Earth

Merrill (my sister), my mom, and I went to the movie theatre to watch the movie Earth. My leopard, Spottie, came too. When the movie showed a cheetah, I explained to Merrill and my mom that cheetahs were related to leopards. Unfortunately, the cheetah caught a baby caribou for lunch, and I wasn't very happy about it. My mom explained that while it wasn't nice for the caribou, now the cheetah could eat and live and maybe the cheetah had kits. My leopard, Spottie, could tell I was upset, so he told me that he was a vegetarian.

Sonora Starts

My name is Sonora. I'm six years old. I was born in 2002.

I'm keeping this blog, so that everyone can hear all the funny, smart things I have to say. (My mom might add a few things from time to time.)

For example, here's a joke:

Why did the banana cross the road?

Answer: Because he wanted to be a banana split.

And...ice is made out of water.

And you are welcome to come here anytime.
